Session 2 — Strategy & Governance Workshop
Phase: 1 — Assessment & Strategy Target Week: Week 2 Duration: 2 hours Format: Remote working session with shared document review Audience: Development team leads, architects, security stakeholder, engineering management
Objective
Walk through the draft AI Development Strategy Document, co-design the AI context-management and governance framework against the learning bed product's realities, and align on the adoption roadmap before Phase 2 hands-on work begins. Decisions made here directly shape what gets implemented on the learning bed in Sessions 4-5.
Key Topics
- Walkthrough of the draft AI Development Strategy Document for feedback and refinement
- Governance framework: where AI may be used freely, where it requires review, and where it is off-limits
- Context-management framework: how Turner will structure CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md, and SKILL.md assets — starting with the learning bed and designed to scale across the rest of the portfolio
- Risk analysis of high-velocity practices against Turner's security requirements
- Prioritized adoption roadmap: what gets implemented on the learning bed in Phase 2, what Turner extends to other products in Phase 3 and beyond
- Tooling recommendations: Claude product surfaces (Code, Chat, API), supporting tools, IDE integrations
Outcomes
- Endorsed governance framework and guardrails for AI use in development
- Agreed-upon context-management approach Turner will implement on the learning bed in Phase 2
- Final, approved AI Development Strategy Document
- Configuration-asset specifications signed off for the learning bed (and templated for the rest of the portfolio)
Inputs Required from Turner
- Review of the Phase 1 draft strategy document in advance of the session
- Decision authority present (or available same-day) to sign off on framework choices
